Janus Open Supports the Faroese Girls’ Chess Championship

Every participant in the Faroese Girls’ Chess Championship in Eiði on 21 November will receive a cinema gift voucher from Janus Open. The championship is organised by Rókur Chess Club in cooperation with the Faroese Chess Federation.

In addition to providing the gift vouchers, Janus Open is offering all girls taking part in the championship free entry to Janus Open III, which will be held in Eiði on 8–10 January 2027.

At Janus Open, we would like to see more girls and women playing chess. This means supporting those who already play and encouraging newcomers to give it a try. We felt that the Girls’ Championship was a good opportunity to offer something that every participant could enjoy.

We hope to see plenty of girls at the championship and look forward to welcoming them to Janus Open in January.
